I was reading an article on how to help my son with school.  It talked about a “growth mindset.”  In short studies had shown a great difference in student improvement when a grade of “not yet” was given versus a “fail.”  The students who received a “not yet” improved an enormous amount because they no longer associated effort and learning with being stupid.  They realized they just weren’t there yet.

Well, this struck me, as I myself am on a learning curve trying to do something I’ve never done before, knowing much less than I thought I did.  Some days, it feels like failure.  But I realize now I’m just getting a “not yet.”  I’ve got a design board and it has been changed around a lot the past week.

I hope you will stick with me as I change some things on my website.  I am very excited about some new ideas!
