I once heard that “Losing an illusion makes you wiser than finding a truth.”  When I first quite my job to pursue a career doing what I really loved, I had no idea how hard it would be.  I make jewelry, and I love it.  Selling it however. . . Let’s just say I have lost the illusion that it is going to be easy.  It takes long hours, and you go to work.  Yet kids still get sick, husbands run late, dinner still needs to be cooked and social functions still go on, all seemingly to derail any efforts to get work done.  I realize working from home is not just a career shift, it is a paradigm shift.  So as I shift my paradigm I find I am able to get more work done, plus everything else.  I’ve got a lot of work to do.  I just have a more realistic expectation of what that means.
