My jewelry incorporates many different techniques, especially wire work and weaving, although I throw in some fiber and handmade resin pendants here and there.
My wire work is done using mostly artistic wire (brand). This wire is very durable, holds its color and shape through much wear, it is also non-tarnish. It is less expensive than sterling silver, so the cost of my wire worked jewelry reflects this. However the quality and durability of my designs is very important to me, and my choice in materials is the result of these considerations.
My bead weaving includes just about every type of stitch in the book. I use only fireline (brand) weaving materials. It is the strongest and most durable on the market. So much goes into my bead woven projects, I can’t imagine using anything less than the best materials available to me.
For bead strung projects I use nylon coated wire which is incredibly strong, yet flexible. A variety of different closures depending on the type, and amount of strands I am putting together are utilized.
The beads themselves are also top of the line. For my seed beads I use only either Toho or Miyuki brand beads, known for their high quality colors and uniform sizes. The pearls I use are either fresh water “organic†looking pearls, or glass. For crystals I use Swarovski Crystal, Czech fire polished crystals. In addition I do use handmade lampworked beads as well as handmade resin pendants, these will always be marked as such.
